Logiflex Inc Review

Logiflex is a relatively new player in the industry, having opened their doors in 2010, but the company provides full-service trucking and trailer services across the U.S. and Canada. Most of Logiflex’s vehicles are only a year old, and they are outfitted with GPS tracking to monitor shipments.

The company offers a range of shipping services, which allows drivers to find a position that suits their career goals and desired lifestyle.

LogiFlex Trucking

Logiflex Inc. Services

Logiflex offers three main services:

Reefer

Logiflex’s reefer trucks are outfitted with ThermoUnit technology, GPS tracking and temperature monitoring to ensure that goods arrive safely and in the appropriate condition.

Goods are transported at temperatures between –20 and 80 degrees. All trucks are equipped with insulated roofs, flooring, walls and doors.

Logiflex’s reefer service is ideal for hauling temperature-sensitive materials, like those found in the chemical, agricultural, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industry.

Dry Van

Dry van shipping is ideal for non-perishable goods, such as furniture, fixtures, boxed goods and materials, equipment, retail merchandise, and more.

Logiflex uses GPS tracking to ensure that deliveries are made on time.

Hazmat

As one of the top rated HAZMAT trucking companies, Logiflex takes safety very seriously. The company specializes in the transport of HAZMAT classifications 2-9, which are regulated by the Department of Transportation.

All HAZMAT shipments are monitored with GPS tracking and processes are closely documented. Drivers are certified and trained with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.

Those who work in this position will be responsible for hauling things like cleaning supplies, chemicals, paint, medicines, poisons, flammable liquids, hazardous waste, oxidizers, corrosives, and more.

Logiflex’s fleet includes new Volvo and Freightliner trucks.

Logiflex Driver Qualifications

In order to be considered for a position at Logiflex, drivers must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have a CDL Class A
  • Must have at least 1.5 years of OTR experience
  • Must have HAZMAT and tanker endorsements – or obtain them within 30 days of employment
  • Must have no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
  • Must have a good safety record
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Logiflex Pay and Benefits

Logiflex’s driver qualifications are pretty standard in the industry, and they offer enough services to keep drivers busy. In fact, drivers at Logiflex average between 2,800 and 3,400 miles per week.

But what is the pay like? Do drivers earn a respectable salary?

According to Logiflex, drivers earn:

  • Up to 55 cents per mile
  • 60 cents per mile for top performers
  • Weekly bonuses

Logiflex says its drivers can earn $75,000 or more per year.

They also offer:

  • $100 bonus for clean DOT inspections
  • $40 per extra stop

Keep in mind that these pay rates are estimates from the company itself, and at the time of publiscation we  have not been able to verify these figures with 3rd party sites, like Glassdoor and Indeed.  We will update when the statistics are available.

How do these estimated pay rates compare to other trucking companies?

The average trucker, with at least some experience, is paid between $0.28 and $0.40 per mile. If Logiflex pays 55 cents per mile, then drivers earn well above the average – even for experienced drivers.

The company says drivers average between 2,800 and 3,400 miles. Let’s say a driver averages 3,000 miles in a week with a pay rate of 55 cents per mile. That equates to $1,650 per week and over $85,000 per year.

Keep in mind that Logiflex says they may pay up to 55 cents per mile and that top performers earn 60 cents per mile. You probably won’t start at 55 cents per mile. Logiflex does not state what their low-end pay is, so you may very well start at the 28-40 cents-per-mile range.

In either case, the company appears to pay their drivers very well. And that’s partly because of the materials and goods they are required to haul. Hauling temperature-sensitive and HAZMAT materials requires greater skill, precision and awareness.

But base salary isn’t the only thing that should be considered when choosing an employer. Along with a base salary, drivers also receive a number of benefits with Logiflex, including:

  • Pet/rider friendly policies – no deposit required
  • Subsidizes $300 of driver health insurance policies
  • Life insurance policies
  • Prescription drug cards
  • Short- and long-term disability insurance
  • Paid vacations
  • No touch freight

Drivers appreciate the pet and rider policy, which allows them to bring loved ones – human and furry – on the road. OTR trucking can get lonely, so this policy helps improve the work/life balance for drivers.

Additionally, the $300 health insurance subsidy is very beneficial, particularly for drivers who may be suffering from medical issues.

Logiflex says their drivers can live anywhere in the United States – no relocation required. They also state that potential drivers who fill out an application can be put in a truck within 24 hours.

Most of the Logiflex trucking reviews we’ve found have been positive. Employees say the company has a friendly environment and that management is helpful.
