To be considered for a driving position at CT Transportation, you must meet the following requirements:

How much can you expect to be paid with CT? Are they one of the best flatbed trucking companies in terms of salary?

CT has three types of positions available: OTR, dedicated and short haul. How much you earn will depend on which position you choose and your experience level, but the company says drivers earn:

  • Between $750 and $905 weekly

On top of base compensation, CT also offers other pay perks, like:

  • Road Warrior Program: Provides a .02cpm increase if you agree to stay out on the road for two weeks at a time – including weekends. CT guarantees at least $2,000 for the two-week period you’re on the road.
  • Weekend Warrior Program: Guarantees at least $400 in earnings if you choose work a weekend. Drivers can choose which weekends they work.

How does this salary information compare to what actual drivers are earning?

According to Indeed.com:

  • Truck drivers earn $826 per week (1,227 salaries)
  • Company drivers earn $743 per week (945 salaries)
  • Drivers earn $9.49 per hour (6 salaries)

These figures are about in line with what the company says they pay.

Orientation and Tuition Reimbursement


CT offers paid orientation and tuition reimbursement, which is a nice perk for new graduates.

If you’re a new graduate, you can receive up to $6,000 in tuition reimbursement – paid over 25 months.

The only drawback with this perk is that you have to stay with the company for at least two years to take full advantage of this program. If you find out that you don’t like working for CT, you lose this valuable benefit.

CT also offers paid orientation, which is something every new driver has to go through.

The company holds orientation in Port Wentworth in Savannah, Georgia.

CT provides:

  • Two meals, lodging and assistance with travel.
  • Paid orientation at $100/day for Tuesday-Thursday.
  • Driver training for 3-4 weeks at $500/week.
  • Advanced Driver Training Program immediately after orientation. Pay is $100/day Friday-Tuesday.

Job Outlook with CT Transportation


The job outlook with CT Transportation is pretty positive. The company says their drivers get about 1800-2300 miles per week on average, so you don’t have to worry about running out of work.

You also have the ability to lease/purchase your own truck through the carrier and become your own boss. Of course, drivers are also rewarded with pay increases as they gain experience.
