Tow Away

Hot Shot Transport

The tow away division uses contractors that provide trailer delivery service. As a driver, you will be required to supply your own pick-up truck or other similar vehicle transport RVs to all 48 states and Canada.

Because you will be operating as an independent contractor, you will be responsible for all of your truck’s expenses, including registration, fuel and insurance.

Tow away is the company’s largest and busiest division. Horizon offers:

  • Diverse loads
  • CDL bonus
  • Recruiting bonus
  • Fuel discounts
  • Reload opportunities
  • Mobile app with access to a load board

  • Extended mirrors
  • Full-width mud flaps
  • Distribution bar

Flatbed Transport

Drivers in the flatbed division haul one unit on the deck and tow a unit behind. This unit offers the greatest opportunity for growth, with drivers enjoying:

  • The highest pay opportunities
  • Diverse loads
  • The most reload opportunities

Although this division offers great opportunities for growth, it also requires a much greater level of skill. You will be hauling up to three loads at a time. Basic requirements for driving in the flatbed division include:

  • Class A CDL
  • Clean DOT record
  • 1-ton dually or larger
  • 50,000 miles of towing experience
  • 53’ flatbed trailer with a center rail system

Drive Away

Drive Away Transport

The drive away division is ideal for anyone who doesn’t want to invest in a truck right now. This division specializes in the transport of drivable RVs. Tow your car behind, or just hop in the motorhome and start driving to its destination.

The drive away division offers:

  • A low upfront investment
  • Access to a mobile app with a load board
  • A variety of loads

These are the main divisions at Horizon. All drivers will have access to the company’s mobile assistant app, which allows users to:

Data from Indeed.com shows that drivers earn a median salary of $46,002 with a range between $26,869/year and $65,135/year.

Those who work with Horizon are happy to be working as independent contractors, which gives them more freedom while being able to travel the country.

As a contractor, you will not enjoy the benefits of health insurance, life insurance or retirement options. However, you have the opportunity to work as your own boss and earn as much (or as little) as you want – as long as you meet their minimum requirements.
