Star Transportation Owner Operators
Thinking of starting a trucking company? As an owner operator, you will be your own boss. Like dedicated drivers, owner operators enjoy steady miles and plenty of home time. You’ll also earn higher pay.

- Must have a CDL-A

- At least 12 months of experience within the last 3 years
- Can’t have more than 4 preventable tickets within the last 3 years

Student Training
Star Transportation is happy to welcome students into their team. The company offers comprehensive training that begins with orientation. First, students will be paired with a trainer who will work with them for 4 weeks. During training, you will be compensated for your time and will gain valuable hands-on training.
Once training is complete, you will then head back to the terminal to take an upgrade test. If you pass the test, you will be assigned a truck and a fleet manager.
To qualify for training, you must have:
- 3 years of previous work history that is verifiable
- TDS within the last 90 days and earned a grade of 90% or higher
- Diploma and transcripts
- An acceptable criminal record and MVR
