OTR Drivers

Don Hummer says that their OTR drivers are out 10-11 nights at a time, followed by two consecutive nights at home.

Team Drivers

Don Hummer also hires team drivers, with pay starting at 80 CPM.

These drivers are out for 12 nights at a time and receive a full 44-52 hours at home every other weekend. They also receive bonuses and paid holidays like other company drivers.

Don Hummer Trucking allows you to be your own boss as an independent contractor for the company. Drivers must meet the following requirements:

ICON (Independent Contractor Program) drivers receive the support of Don Hummer to make their operations a success, including:

  • Consistent freight
  • Advanced technologies

You’ll receive 75% of the revenue per load and 70% for reefer or temperature-controlled freight. Contractors will receive 100% of the fuel surcharge on loads, but you will have your own costs, such as tolls and maintaining your rig.

Don Hummer does allow you to use their trailers at no additional charge.
